what to expect from a city that is so controverse? between the vibrant party city, an open LGBTQ community and the religious orthodox jews, all wrapped in bubble wrap, and one hour from TEL AVIV lies war zone. what to expect from people living so close to battle field but being so open and free at the same time? Jake*s wanted to take this opportunity with their JAKE*S AND THE CITY program to show us the diversity that TEL AVIV has to offer. We met with young locals and Sherry Ansky (former israeli food journalist, best selling cook book author and now happy owner of SHERRY HERRING), to get their perspectives of life in TEL AVIV. Omer, a political activist and LGBTG rights activist, explained how young people are aiming for change and hoping for peace making. the young individuals have hope that there will be - hopefully - change very soon, that will live up to cities already very open, vibrant and liberal lifestyle.

am I ever fully prepared for autumn/winter? - it's a definite N O. but looking up upon what the season has to offer, fashion wise, I could actually say that I might be a bit excited. in TEL AVIV we shot the newest AW19 campaign for JAKE*S. my favorites this season are most definitely the cashmere pieces -turtleneck, cardigans and round necks- in all the neutral colors, but also the light blues and blush pinks. something that should be in your closet, not only for the sake of the luxuriously soft cashmere feel, but also thinking of having a quality garment that will last you a lifetime when treated with special care.
tone-in-tone dressing is always a good idea, especially for seasons upcoming layering. the tonal dressing is the perfect way to wear color for the grey days. think about combining the same color but with different textures -it's the perfect mix and match.
