Why didn’t we go vintage hunting on the last trip to LA – this sentence is something we asked ourselves during our recent LA trip. I guess we never really really knew that LA is a pure vintage heaven. I mean we knew about some vintage stores on Melrose, but they were a bit pricey and super packed, where you had to dig deep to find treasures. Find out what we discovered during this trip.

We did some research, found some stores for ourselves and asked two of our favorite style inspirations and vintage lovers Marta Cygan and Courtney Trop for some serious advice. So if you are ever going to visit LA I can definitely recommend to go vintage hunting. These where my favorite spots:
Reformation Vintage – 8253 Melrose Ave – Los Angeles
At Reformation Vintage you can find careful selected vintage items that suit to the brands sense of style. Because of the curated selection and the huge store, you have a good overview of everything. Everything is also sorted in different color schemes or themes. What might be a bit of a „downer“ are the prices, but I don’t mind paying the price, because the garments are in good condition and you don’t tend to buy just to buy. At Reformation Vintage I found this blouse that I am wearing in this post. At first glance it looked like a Jacqemus blouse and actually look very tiny. But I am so happy that it did fit me and its definitely one of the best vintage buys.
Silver Lake Farmers Market – 3700 Sunset Blvd – Los Angeles (every Saturday)
Actually we were supposed to go to Silver Lake Flea (1511 Micheltorena St – Los Angeles), which I can surely recommend. Unfortunately we missed it, because its only every second Saturday – what a shame. But the Silver Lake Farmers Market not only has a great selection of food, fresh vegetables and drinks but also had one of the best stands for vintage clothes. The Ladies selling the clothes had the best selection of items, that suited to todays aesthetic and really good prices too. Vintage Levis Jeans and Jackets, color schemes of nude tones and high quality Blazers – definitely a must visit ! I found a lovely silk top in a light rose, which I will show you soon on the blog (so stay tuned).
Melrose Trading Post – 7850 Melrose Ave – Los Angeles
No Plans on a Sunday and you are in LA? Good for you, because the Melrose Trading Post is surely one Flea Market you should visit. Not only will you find cool vintage band shirts en masse and vintage clothes, also vintage frames, art and cool interior pieces are sold there. The best if you are living in LA, because you can re-decorate your home with amazing pieces. For us, boohoo, we only bought art-work with frames, which we actually thought would fit in our suitcases (which didn’t – only nisi was lucky to fit two of her frames). Also lucky me found a lovely nude top with brownish buttons, which you can see on my newest Instagram Post. This Flea Market is the perfect Sunday to-do!
Are you a vintage lover too?
